Lockheed   TO-1/TV-1  (F-80C)  Shooting Star


This aircraft was built on an Army Air Force contract as a P-80C-1-LO with  serial No.
47-221. In 1948 it was turned over to the U.S. Navy and was assigned Bur. Air. No.
33824 and designated as a TO-1. Later it became a TV-1. It was with VF-52 at NAS 
North Island in 1948-49; ATU-6 at NAS Corpus Christi in 1949; JTU-1 at NAS Whiting 
Field in 1949-51; ATU-3 NAS Kingville in 1951-52; ATU-200 NAS Kingville in1952-54; 
NART Saint Louis in 1954; Nart Oakland in 1954-56; and in March of 1956 it flew to an
air show at NAS Willow Grove and was stricken from the records. It was put on outdoor
display at NAS Willow Grove. It is now being restored by the Delaware Valley Historical
