Mel  Farrell
Burbank,  California
The first time I ever saw or heard of one of these kits is when I bought it on Ebay. It was
made by Mel Farrell. No company or corporation. I think he must have lived in Burbank,
California and produced the kits in his garage. This is a P-80 kit and Lockheed, the maker
of the full size P-80, was located in Burbank. Mel may have worked at Lockheed full time.
This is a balsa wood kit with cardboard templates already cut to shape. Wing tip to wing tip
is 9 5/8 inches not including wing tip tanks. The canopy is formed over a carved form.
